I am getting close to leaving my full time job to focus on Remotely Sorted. So, I thought that the website deserved a bit of an update! Welcome to a new look for Remotely Sorted.
There have been a few tweaks over recent months (the main one being the logo!). But now I’m going for a whole new theme.
How did I pick the original theme for Remotely Sorted?
I originally based the site on the Ares theme. I was new to WordPress so didn’t really know what I was doing when I scrolled through the many options! There seemed to be so many themes available, I really didn’t know how to choose. On seeing Ares, I thought this could be the theme for me! I liked the overall design and, with the colour option I chose, it was quite nice and calming.
Why am I changing the theme?
Now, I’m more confident in personalising the site so I want to try something new! Introducing Sydney! This new look for Remotely Sorted will give me a few more options (without modifying the background scripts!) so, it seems like the ideal next step. I like the new design but, what do you think – I’d really appreciate your comments.

I had some great help from the really friendly people at WordPress for Beginners – their facebook group is a fantastic place for anyone working on their own site. They really do want to assist with any issues you might be facing with your WordPress.org website. They also give great hints and tips!
